[How to Stop Overeating at Night]

For many women overeating at night is the cause of SO much stress, self-loathing, and intense frustration.

It doesn’t have to be this way.
And I’m here to tell you – YOU CAN CHANGE.

You are more powerful than food.

I know it can feel like those sweet, salty, and savoury treats have power over you…

but they don’t.

You’re in control.

FYI – night time overeating is a very common habit. Many of my clients have struggled with it, and I used to struggle a lot with it too.

About 10 years ago after having really self destructive eating patterns, I figured out how to break the cycle.

And then I started sharing it with my clients that had the same issue.

IT WAS VERY EFFECTIVE.

It’s profound in it’s simplicity.
So don’t be thrown off. Easy is effective.

So the next time you feel out of control with night time snacking, follow the 3 steps below:

1. Tell yourself – I’m choosing to NOT overeat tonight. But I CAN tomorrow if I feel like it.

2. Do not eat after dinner. Go to bed.

3. Wake up. Realized you didn’t die. And how good you feel that you chose not to overeat.

That’s it. Do it for ONE night.

And then do it the next night, and maybe the next night…but don’t put pressure on yourself, that’s key.

It works best when you take it day by day. Don’t go into the future…it can cause anxiety/stress.

Just focus on one day at a time, and soon you’ll have realized you did it for 5 days, then 10 days, etc.

Also, acknowledge that YES you used to overeat at night, but now you don’t.

I used to ______ but now I _____.

It’s evidence for your brain that you’re behaviours can and ARE changing. The brain always wants PROOF. So give it proof.

And voilà, a new pattern and identity shift!

Follow the 3 steps my girl….xo.

Live inspired,
Sonja.
