Right now a few of my clients are going through the mainstream mentality rigamarole of having to “justify” why they don’t want to put alcohol in their bodies.
“Why aren’t you DRINKING?!”
That question alone could put me on a rant for two days, but I’ll leave it for now.
My clients start to drink way less alcohol, after they start working with me. And P.S. I DO NOT suggest they do….
they’re intelligent women that see for themselves it makes them feel like shit.
When you realize your fun is losing function of your brain and body, it can be a wake up call that you’re missing depth and meaning in your life.
My client admitted she is acting like a 20 year old STILL, at the age of 45.
After we worked together for 6 months and I gently helped her shift her relationship with alcohol…..
she became a different person. The life came back in her voice and her energy. She changed her entire LIFE, and became RADIANT.
A gentle perspective I offered her on one of our many calls was….
when you are so excited about life, and have intelligent, creative, dynamic people around….
and a deep sense of purpose….
you don’t want to feel slow, and numb on alcohol, you want to be “with it.”
She took that perspective shift and upleveled her….entire being.
Nothing can beat the feeling of being in a clear, switched on body, mind, and spirit.
P.P.S. The people on here that know me, understand I don’t care what others do with or to their bodies. You do you, no judgement. And, I have nothing against alcohol.
This post is for people that feel they need permission to say out loud “drinking makes me feel like shit.”
It’s so socially expected, that sometimes people think there’s something wrong with them, by not wanting it.
Nope. You’re perfect. You’re paying attention to the wisdom of your body, intelligence all the way. Bravo.
Sonja, xo
