It surprises me people still think dieting works.
There wouldn’t be an array of new diet books out each and every day if one of them actually worked, hence the books continue to be written non stop.
So, Why Don’t Diets work?
There are 3 main reasons:
1. Diets don’t work because each person is unique, with different needs based on gender, age, ancestry and lifestyle; how could one diet be right for everyone?
2. Diets don’t work because they are extreme solutions. Like in physics, if a pendulum swings to one extreme, it has to swing equally to the other. A diet might work for a short amount of time, but research shows that almost all diets result in a 10 pound gain after all the pendulum swinging is done.
3. Diets don’t work because they are too restrictive. People who fail on diet plans are not flawed and weak. Diets by nature require discipline and restriction at levels that are unsustainable by a healthy human body.
My goal is to help you to develop a new way of looking at food and your body.
The idea is to put an end to nutritional number crunching and looking at your food in a way that belittles it to a calorie, an ounce or a fat gram. That is so boring, right!? Food is so much more than that, and when we change the way we look at food, our relationship with food will change, too.
