Trust Your Dark Days…

When a dark moment or day is upon you…do you trust it? Or try to “fix” it?

I went through what felt like a crushing and very dark experience a few weeks ago…

you know those days or moments when you just want to escape from your body or runaway from it all?

Yep, just like that. It was tough.

I tried to stay present in the deep discomfort and just allow my emotions to fly ALL over the place, and let the tears fall and fall and fall…

But, it’s not so easy to “allow” when your mind is flooding you with survival thoughts stuck on repeat with the volume turned way UP…

In the end, I came out alive…we usually do don’t we?

within 24 hours I made my way through it.

And it turned out to be a huge gift when I looked back on what happened…

that dark situation gave me crystal clear clarity and the fuel to move forward with courage and conviction.

When you’re under pressure or sitting in the darkness, just let go, feel it all, and trust…something beautiful is about to happen.

I love this quote from Lalah Delia about transmutation….

“Grapes must be crushed to make wine. Diamonds form under pressure. Olives are pressed to release oil. Seeds grow in darkness. Whenever you feel crushed, under pressure, pressed, or in darkness, you’re in a powerful place of transformation/transmutation.”

Next time you’re swept up in an emotional tornado…just trust and let it take you.

It’s not that you need to become more disciplined.

And it’s definitely not that you need to turn wellness into another job.

The real shift starts when you stop treating your body, your energy, and your health like they can wait.
